angos ko? - What is Angos?Edit
Angos is a constructed language created in 2011 by Ben Wood. It is an a posteriori language, meaning the majority of the vocabulary is borrowed from existing languages.
It is designed to be fun to learn and easy to master for any linguistic background. Its unique blend of influences from languages around the world creates a system that functions and sounds like no other. Angos is completely phonetic and regular, and there are no verb forms or noun cases to memorize. A special feature is the distinction between natural and man-made qualities; in fact, the word Angos means "constructed language." The symbol of Angos is the North Star- the immutable figure of navigation among mariners of the ancient world.
The lexicon of Angos has been influenced by many languages around the world. Some examples are:
Indo-European (Latin, Greek, German, Hindi, Persian, Russian, Gaelic, Armenian, Albanian)
Uralic (Finnish, Estonian, Hungarian)
Niger-Congo (Bantu, Swahili)
Afro-Asiatic (Arabic, Hebrew, Egyptian)
Austronesian (Indonesian, Malay, Maori)
Uto-Aztecan (Nahuatl, Hopi)
Eskaleut (Kalaallisut, Inuktitut)
Iroquoian (Cherokee, Seneca)
Muskogean (Choctaw, Creek)
